Fifth Meeting for Young Women in Mathematics “Cohomological Methods in Geometry"

We are hosting a meeting for young women in mathematics at the University of Freiburg as part of our program "Cohomological Methods in Geometry".

Participants will be female PhD students and postdocs up to 3 or 4 years after completing their Ph.D. We would like every participant to make a scientific contribution by presenting either a 30 minutes talk or a poster.

Men are welcome to attend, but will not give a presentation or receive funding.

Hotel

We have reserved hotels for all participants who need it, breakfast is included for the duration of your stay. You do not need to pay for the hotel, as the Graduiertenkolleg will pay the hotel cost directly. If for any reason you cannot come to the conference, please inform Ms. Brunner in order to cancel your room, alternatively cancel the reservation directly with the hotel. The Graduiertenkolleg is not able to pay the expenses of people who do not participate, as such, you will have to pay for the room yourself.

 
 

Reimbursement of your travel expenses

Participant’s travel expenses will be reimbursed after the trip. During the registration we will provide a self-addressed envelope for you to send the reimbursement form P875 and your original train/flight tickets and other original receipts, which are needed for the reimbursement process.

 
 

Reception/ Aperitif

The Reception Event takes place on Wednesday, April the 6st, from 5 p.m. in the room 226 of the “Rechenzentrum”, Hermann-Herder-Straße 10, 79104 Freiburg im Breisgau,  Map of the 'Institutsviertel' (On this map, the “Rechenzentrum" is building no. 16).

You may register at this time, alternatively on Thursday morning before the first talk starts.

 

Conference Room

The conference takes place in the “Hörsaal” II, Albertstr. 23 b, Map of the 'Institutsviertel' (On this map, the “Hörsaal II" is building no. 13)

 
 

Coffee breaks

Coffee and tea will be served on Thursday, April 7st, from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. and from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m., during poster session I and II, and on Friday, April 8th, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. in the room 226 of the “Rechenzentrum”, Hermann-Herder-Straße 10, 79104 Freiburg im Breisgau,  Map of the 'Institutsviertel' (On this map, the “Rechenzentrum is building no. 16).

 

Poster session

Please be prepared to present your poster (size A1) during the coffee breaks.

 

Lunch

We kindly invite you to have lunch in the Mensa, if you like,  Map of the 'Institutsviertel' (On this map, the Mensa is building no. 14). You can choose between the two dishes of the day (Tagesessen I or II). Please join one of the organizers who will handle the payment at the cashiers.

 

Corona

Proof of full vaccination or recovery or a valid negative test, not older than 24 hours, (3G rule) is required to attend the conference.

We also ask you to get tested before the conference (self-test) so that everyone is as safe as possible. Masks and test kits will also be provided during the conference.
